Overview

The LED graphic is a Basic Layout indicator used to display a simple status or value state.

LED is useful when an application needs a small visual indicator for on/off, active/inactive, normal/status, or value-driven display behavior.

LED shares general Active Graphic behavior. See Active Graphic for shared visibility, quality, and runtime display behavior.

Common Uses

  • Displaying on/off status
  • Showing whether a value is active or inactive
  • Creating simple dashboard indicators
  • Showing equipment or process state
  • Displaying a compact status light

Input Behavior

The LED display can be updated from an input connection.

This allows the LED to update from a data source, calculation, or another logic component.

Output Behavior

LED is primarily used as a display graphic.

It does not function as a user input control.

LED-Specific Behavior

LED is a compact indicator-style graphic with a configurable LED color and value range.

LED-specific settings may include:

  • High Value Sets the top of the LED value range.
  • Low Value Sets the bottom of the LED value range.
  • LedColor Sets the LED color.
  • StylesheetSources Allows stylesheet source configuration if used.

Logic Ports

In the Logic Editor, LED may include:

  • updateDisplayedValue

The updateDisplayedValue port is used to update the displayed LED value.

Notes

Use LED when a simple status light or compact indicator is needed.

For other indicator graphics, see Indicators.

For shared Active Graphic behavior, see Active Graphic.
