The GradientBox graphic is a basic shape graphic similar to [[mistudio:design_editor:basic_layout:basic_shapes:box|Box]], but with additional gradient or shading settings.

Use GradientBox when a rectangular display or panel needs a shaded appearance.

==== Difference From Box ====

GradientBox shares the main behavior of [[mistudio:design_editor:basic_layout:basic_shapes:box|Box]], including fill behavior, color action, fill direction, high and low values, and data source input behavior.

The main difference is that GradientBox includes gradient settings.

==== Gradient-Specific Properties ====

**Shade Color** Sets the color used for the gradient or shaded portion of the graphic.

**Shade Direction** Controls the direction of the gradient or shading effect.
